Established in 2010 by Mr. Eduardo M. Rivera and his wife, Mrs. Evamyn P. Rivera, Golden Cronica Publishing, Inc. is a company dedicated to bringing excellent quality products to the educational publishing market. Mr. and Mrs. Rivera’s 20 years of experience in relation to educational publishing inspired them to start this company.
GCPI launched its operations in 2010 through the publication of Sports, Music, Arts, Rhythmic Talents Series, popularly known as S.M.A.R.T. MAPEH, a textbook series intended for use in the elementary level. The year 2013 was marked by the launching of another book series, I.C.T. Stages, which is intended for teaching and learning Information, Communication and Technology for Grade 1 up to Grade 6.
In keeping up with the requirements of the K-12 Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum, new editions of S.M.A.R.T. MAPEH elementary level series were made available in 2015. In the same year, GCPI also launched the S.M.A.R.T. MAPEH high school level series for Grade 7 to 10.
The company increased its hold in the field of educational publishing in 2016 by coming up with a series of modules in Technology and Livelihood Education: Cook It Right! – A Learning Module in Commercial Cookery; The Young Entrepreneur – A Learning Module in Entrepreneurship; Stitch and Design – A Learning Module in Dressmaking and Tailoring; Fast Track in Earth and Life Science and Fast Track in Physical Science for Grade 11; and Smart Writing for Gen Z Learners, a learning module in theme writing for Grade 4 to 6.
As of February 2016, GCPI has put together teams of authors to come up with a book series in Mathematics, Science, as well as English, Filipino, Mathematics and MAPEH for Pre-school. Presently in their final stages of production are Crafts and Things – A Learning Module in Arts and Crafts for Technology and Livelihood Education and Understanding Science in Our Times for Grades 7 to 10.
Together with selected authors, coordinators, and consultants who are all seasoned educators and experts in their areas of specialization, reliable partners, trustworthy field agents, the supportive Rivera children Alvin and Klariz Laurelle, plus competent office personnel Golden Cronica Publishing, Inc. aims to be one of the most outstanding companies in the field of publishing.
